Doctoral supervision
The center currently supervises five PhD theses on topics related to heterogeneous kinetics and scientific instrumentation, aligned with the industrial and environmental challenges of complex processes.
Specialized courses
The courses offered cover advanced areas such as thermal reactivity of solids, kinetic modeling, nuclear physics, nuclear reactors, and the fuel cycle, combining theoretical approaches with application case studies.
Thermal reactivity of solids, kinetic modeling, nuclear physics, nuclear reactors, and the nuclear fuel cycle.
Student projects
Students take part in applied research projects, often carried out in collaboration with industrial partners, providing them with concrete immersion in today’s technological challenges.
Academics offered as part of CPE Lyon
Offered in partnership with CPE Lyon, these programs draw on the expertise of Mines Saint-Étienne’s PTSI department. They aim to provide essential knowledge on the physical behavior and chemical reactivity of powders, directly connected to industrial issues.
Process Engineering – Powder characterization
This training program aims to provide the theoretical and practical foundations to understand and control the behavior of powders in industrial processes. Participants will learn to characterize the physical properties of powders (particle size distribution, shape, density, flow, etc.) and to adapt measurement methods to specific industrial contexts.
Process Engineering – CHEmICAL REACTIVITY OF POWDERS
This training program provides an introduction to the chemical reactivity of powders, with a focus on solid–gas reactions and their modeling. Participants will learn to analyze transformation kinetics and use thermal analysis tools to better understand and optimize industrial processes involving reactive powders.
