Mines International Students (MIS): The Association Dedicated to International Students

Mines International Students (MIS) is an association specifically dedicated to welcoming and integrating international students. In partnership with the Student Union (BDE), it organizes activities and events throughout the year to promote intercultural exchanges and help international students feel at home.

  • Intercultural evenings and themed events
    Each event is an opportunity to discover each other’s cultures, share culinary specialties, and celebrate traditional festivals.
  • Language Café
    A weekly meeting to practice French and other languages in a friendly atmosphere, and meet French and international students.
  • Regional outings and excursions
    MIS organizes cultural visits and nature excursions to discover Saint-Étienne and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
  • Afterworks and workshops
    Various activities including cooking workshops, movie nights, and sports activities, allowing all students to meet and interact in an informal setting.

How to Join an Association?

Registration for student associations is open to all students. At the beginning of each academic year, a student association fair is organized, where students can meet members of the different clubs and choose the activities that interest them. MIS also offers a specific integration programme so that every international student can get involved in campus student life.
