Explore Emerging Technologies
The technology exploration workshops, offered during the ISMIN curriculum, allow engineering students to delve deeper into cutting-edge technological topics. Organized as intensive weeks, these workshops promote immersion in innovative subjects and strengthen collaboration between students, teachers, and industrial partners.
What is a Technology Exploration Workshop?
The workshops are intensive work sessions organized as a blocked week at the beginning of the second semester of the third year. They aim to explore emerging themes related to current industrial challenges.
Objective
To deepen understanding of a specific technology or field through practical and collaborative activities.
Duration
A full week dedicated to learning and implementation.
Supervision
Led by teacher-researchers and external professionals, the workshops offer a rich and multidisciplinary perspective.
Why Participate in a Workshop?
- Discover emerging technologies
These sessions allow exploration of innovative topics, often in the exploratory phase in industry. - Strengthen practical skills
The workshops combine theoretical learning and practical exercises for concrete mastery of the concepts covered. - Collaborate with industry experts
Students work directly with industry professionals, enriching their understanding of real-world challenges.
Examples of Topics Covered
- Digital Signal Processors
Design and optimization for embedded applications. - Manufacturing of MOS silicon components
Immersion in semiconductor manufacturing. - Hardware security and hacking
Strengthening electronic systems against cyber attacks. - Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain
Analysis of decentralized finance technologies and applications. - Deep Learning and artificial intelligence
Implementation of advanced algorithms on concrete cases. - Design of biomedical devices
Electronic interfaces for neuroscience or diagnostics.
Benefits for Partner Companies
- Test your technologies in an academic setting
Propose themes to enrich the workshops and benefit from students’ critical perspective. - Encourage collaborative innovation
Participate in sessions where new ideas and creative solutions emerge from interaction with students. - Identify future talent
Collaborate with aspiring engineers specialized in the fields most in demand by industry.
How to Become a Workshop Partner?
Companies can propose topics related to their technologies or strategic needs. These proposals are integrated into the workshop programme after validation by the teaching team.
