The Saint-Étienne and Aix-Marseille-Provence campuses have their own Student House. These residences offer a friendly, modern, and fully furnished environment, located in the immediate vicinity of both campuses. The accommodations are reserved for students enrolled in a Mines Saint-Étienne program.
Ingénieur Civil des Mines (ICM) programme – Saint-Étienne Campus
The Student House
The Student House (ME), managed by Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni, is much more than just a student residence. Located a few minutes’ walk from the main campus and city center, it is the center of student life for civil mining engineering students (ICM). The three classes cohabitate there, in a setting offering comfortable and connected accommodations (free and unlimited internet access).

- 123 rooms of 12 m² (equipped with shower and some with toilets).
- 257 studios from 18 to 30 m², including kitchenette and bathroom.
- Accessibility: 5 accommodations adapted for people with reduced mobility.
- Shared spaces: 13 communal kitchens and various common areas for entertainment, studying, or sports activities.
Residents have access to common areas dedicated to sports, leisure, and culture, creating a dynamic and stimulating living environment. The Student House also offers administrative and technical assistance, as well as continuous surveillance to ensure a secure environment.

Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus: The Student Residence
Facing the school building, the residence offers 157 modern studios for first-year students in the ISMIN program.
Accommodation Features
- 152 studios of 18 m² adapted to student needs.
- Rent: €485 per month (including water, heating, electricity, internet)
- 5 accessible accommodations: equipped for people with reduced mobility

PDIS preparatory cycle programme – Saint-Étienne Campus
PDIS students enjoy a great deal of freedom regarding their accommodation in Saint-Étienne or the surrounding municipalities. While the standard rental market (studios, shared apartments, student residences) is plentiful, the school has also established a privileged partnership to facilitate its students’ move.
Habitat & Métropole Partnership: Le Néoz Residence
As part of the PDIS curriculum, a partnership with Habitat & Métropole allows students to access new housing within the Le Neoz Residence, located at 4 place de la Sainte Barbe in Saint-Étienne.
Ideally located, the residence is just 3 minutes from the T1 and T3 tram stops (Peuple-Gambetta station), providing direct access to the Centre for Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering.
Housing Features and Equipment
The units are delivered new and benefit from an optimized layout:
- Furniture provided: bed, table, and chairs included.
- Integrated kitchenette: equipped with a refrigerator, hot plates, and a microwave-oven combo.
- Thermal comfort: central heating with individual sub-metering for each unit.
Note: electricity and water (AEP) subscriptions must be taken out individually by each tenant.
Residence Services
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi access provided by Orange.
- Practical spaces: shared laundry room (managed by a service provider), secure bike storage, and bike lockers available for rent.
- Logistics: parcel boxes available for residents.
Rates and Terms
The number of places is limited. Rents are provided as an estimate:
- Studio (T1): approximately €239/month.
- Large Studio (T1 bis): approximately €323/month.
