This unique alliance combines scientific rigor and entrepreneurial agility, to train dual-competency profiles, highly sought after in the market.

An integrated four-year programme

The FUSION curriculum spans four years, organized into two main phases between the two partner schools:

  1. The first two years primarily at Mines Saint-Étienne, within the framework of the ICM programme, dedicated to acquiring scientific, technical, and methodological fundamentals.
    Students also develop their initial skills in management, communication, and project management.
  2. The last two years at emlyon business school, focused on innovation management, corporate strategy, finance, and entrepreneurship.
    This phase consolidates the engineer-manager’s global vision and promotes international openness.

Throughout the program, students participate in joint projects, innovation seminars, and complete several internships in France or abroad, within companies, laboratories, or startups.

This progressive pathway allows for a natural transition between engineering and management, while ensuring the coherence and complementarity of the teachings.

An international and interdisciplinary openness

The FUSION programme promotes international mobility and diversity of pathways:

  • Courses in French and English;
  • Academic exchanges or internships abroad;
  • Collaborative projects with students from other programmes;
  • Awareness of environmental, ethical, and societal issues.

A recognized dual degree

Upon completion of the pathway, students obtain:

  • The Ingénieur Civil des Mines degree (Mines Saint-Étienne) – Master’s degree level;
  • The Master in Management (PGE) from emlyon business school – Master’s degree level.

This dual degree is based on the accreditations of the Commission des titres d’ingénieur (CTI) for the engineering degree and the Commission d’évaluation des formations et diplômes de gestion (CEFDG) for the PGE.

Testimonials

I chose FUSION for the complementarity between scientific rigor and managerial creativity.
Team projects with emlyon students are stimulating: we learn to speak the same language between engineers and managers.

Chloé

2nd year FUSION
After two years at Mines Saint-Étienne, joining emlyon allowed me to explore another facet of the engineering profession: that of strategist and decision-maker.
The courses in strategy, finance, and innovation perfectly align with the scientific culture acquired at the beginning of the programme.
