The Lyon-Charbonnières campus of the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne is located on the Digital Campus of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, in Charbonnières-les-Bains, near Lyon.
Mines Saint-Étienne is present on the Digital Region Campus in Charbonnières-les-Bains with the aim of strengthening its involvement in the digital transformation of industry and meeting the skills needs of Industry 4.0. This strategic location is part of a regional dynamic in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, which promotes innovation and the development of advanced technological solutions to support companies in their digital transition.
Diwii is a technological platform dedicated to supporting industry transformations, located on this campus. Organized over 800 m², Diwii includes several workshops that allow for customized missions according to the industrial challenge: raise awareness, advise, support, demonstrate through experimentation, and train teams. To date, two of these workshops are dedicated to modeling and optimizing the industrial chain, one is devoted to prototype and small series design, another is intended for process digitalization. Finally, an upcoming workshop related to health is in preparation.
Diwii addresses the issues of industrialists (mid-sized companies, SMEs, large industrial groups) in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region as a priority, in terms of technological, organizational, digital, and human transformations. It is also a training tool for students (those from Mines Saint-Étienne or other schools such as ECE, Centrale Lyon, Cnam…).
With Diwii, Mines Saint-Étienne meets a dual objective: to be present in Lyon and to showcase its areas of expertise by addressing business issues and providing training.
