A vibrant, committed, and supportive network

Founded in 1867 and recognized as being of public interest since 1882, Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni is the Association of graduates and students of the Ingénieur Civil des Mines (ICM), Microelectronic and Computer Systems Engineers (ISMIN) and PhDs from Mines Saint-Étienne, a community sharing the same values:

  • solidarity, mutual aid and friendliness towards all its members;
  • support for, and promotion of, the School and our degrees;
  • useful and effective services, partly shared with Mines Paris Alumni and Mines Nancy Alumni.

An active network, serving all its members

Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni supports its members at every stage of their personal and professional lives, offering a range of services:

  • A careers service: job offers, career advice, coaching, …
  • Solidarity initiatives: scholarships, loans, X’Mines Credits, mutual aid fund
  • A website, mines-saint-etienne.org, with a private space, a lifelong email address and access to the directory bringing together more than 9,000 members, including more than 7,000 who can be contacted by email
  • A personal profile in the directory to introduce yourself to other members of the network and showcase your career path.
  • Key events: Sainte-Barbe, afterworks, class reunions…

An extended network with Intermines

Intermines is made up of the three alumni associations of the Écoles des Mines in Paris, Saint-Étienne and Nancy.

Its purpose is to run the shared activities offered to their 30,000 members:

  • Publishing the Revue des Ingénieurs;
  • Professional clubs, geographic groups, in France and internationally, leisure and interest clubs
  • Access to sister associations; XMP Entrepreneurs, X-Mines Consult, ….
  • High-level events such as the Mines cocktail reception

The services and activities offered by Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni and by the Intermines network are reserved for, or available on a preferential basis to, paying members.

A permanent presence alongside the School and its students

Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni works closely with the School to promote its image of excellence and contribute to the quality of its education.

Each year, more than 300 alumni take part in the training programmes by sharing their experience with students from the various programmes, coming to the School’s campuses or through remote interviews.

They take part in initiatives organized in close collaboration with the Mines Saint-Étienne training management, helping to create and maintain a strong link between students, young alumni and experienced professionals.

It is also thanks to alumni membership fees and donations that Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni and the Fondation Mines Télécom can provide grants to support association activities and set up scholarship programmes for the most deserving students.
