Student Union (BDE)
The Student Unions (BDE) at Mines Saint-Étienne are the central associations of student life. Present on both our campuses, their aim is to create memorable moments and strengthen class spirit. Throughout the year, the BDEs organise a wide range of events—theme nights, integration weekends, sports tournaments and galas—encouraging interaction and cohesion. Working closely with the entire network of student associations, they offer activities to suit everyone, ensuring a lively, inclusive and enriching campus experience every day.
Essential meeting places for Mines Saint-Étienne students, these student-run spaces provide a welcoming setting to get together after classes, chat, and strengthen class spirit on each of our campuses.

A club attached to the BDE on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus, the BDI welcomes, integrates and supports international students day to day when they arrive on campus, helping them settle in and discover the region.
CoME
Responsible for managing the facilities and common areas of the Student House, CoME ensures the proper functioning of equipment. It contributes to making the ME a warm and dynamic living space where students can fully thrive and share convivial moments.
The IlluMines Gala, a prestigious event at Mines Saint-Étienne, is organized annually by students after the graduation ceremony. A school tradition, this gala brings together students, graduates, and professors for an exceptional evening of elegance and celebration. With a unique theme, IlluMines offers an immersive experience: refined dinner, shows, live music, and surprising animations. It’s a privileged moment to celebrate achievements, forge connections with alumni, and create unforgettable memories, symbolizing the excellence and cohesion of the school.
Organised by students on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus, the ISMIN Gala runs the ceremony, show and prestigious evening that follow the graduation ceremony for ISMIN engineering students. A must-attend event to celebrate the end of studies and bring together graduates, families and faculty.
Associflard
This association organizes aperitifs and barbecues for moments of relaxation and conviviality. Through its festive events, Associflard brings students together and contributes to the community spirit of the school.

Sports Office (BDS)
The Sports Offices (BDS) at Mines Saint-Étienne bring to life and coordinate the school’s sports scene. Present on both our campuses, they organise training sessions, tournaments and a variety of events, enabling students to practise a wide range of sports while strengthening cohesion and team spirit. The MiTV and MiProd associations are Mines Saint-Étienne’s photo, video and editing hubs, dedicated to capturing the best moments of student life. They produce reports, videos and edits of the school’s standout events, such as galas, sports competitions and student nights. With passion and creativity, members of these associations preserve these unique moments, while providing students with high-quality visual memories and showcasing the richness of the school’s student association life.
Pac Mines
This gaming club brings together enthusiasts of board games, role-playing games, and video games for regular evenings and events. It offers students a space to relax and share their passion for gaming in a laid-back atmosphere.

Career Fair
The Corporate Forums at Mines Saint-Étienne are flagship events that each year connect students with companies from a wide range of sectors. Organised by students, these forums enable students to meet professionals, discover internship and job opportunities, and familiarise themselves with market expectations. Conferences, workshops, and networking sessions are on the programme to facilitate exchanges and strengthen students’ professional skills. A true bridge between the school and the world of work, the Corporate Forums are key moments for launching one’s career and developing one’s professional network.
The Junior-Enterprises of Mines Saint-Étienne
Mines Saint-Étienne’s Junior Enterprises, Mines Études et Projets (MEP) and Junior Mines Provence (JMP), give students the opportunity to apply their skills and gain hands-on professional experience alongside their studies. Operating like real consulting firms, they carry out assignments for companies and institutions in a range of fields: engineering, strategy, digital transformation, data, and technical project management. Immersed in the business world, students develop skills in management, communication and technical expertise, enhancing their pathway and strengthening their profile for the job market.
This technical association ensures a stable Internet connection for all residents of the Student House. In collaboration with the school, Roots resolves network issues, making students’ daily lives easier.
Minitel
A computing and gaming club on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus, Minitel is a place for sharing dedicated to technology enthusiasts, offering cybersecurity training and organising LAN sessions. The association also plays a key role on campus: it manages the student residence’s Internet network, under an official agreement signed between Minitel and the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne.
AREM – Mines Robotics and Electronics Association
A technical association on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus, AREM brings together enthusiasts of robotics, electronics and programming. The team designs and builds autonomous robots to represent the School in major national competitions, including the Coupe de France de Robotique.
Solidarity and Social Engagement
Womines
Womines is the girls’ association of Mines Saint-Étienne dedicated to promoting and supporting women in engineering careers. By organizing conferences, workshops, and meetings with inspiring professionals, Womines raises awareness among the student community about diversity and equality issues in the workplace. The association offers a space for discussion and mentoring, encouraging future female engineers to confidently envision their professional path and strengthen their place in scientific and technical fields.
Humani’Mines is the Mines Saint-Étienne association dedicated to raising awareness about disabilities and inclusion. In collaboration with the Autonomy-Disability Commission, it promotes accessibility and equal opportunities for all. Humani’Mines organizes awareness days, conferences, and immersive workshops to inform the student community and deconstruct prejudices. Through its actions, the association contributes to an inclusive environment, valuing diversity and facilitating the integration of all students.
Solidar’ISMIN
A solidarity association on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus, Solidar’ISMIN is strongly committed to humanitarian and social action. On a daily basis, it runs the campus solidarity grocery store, organises the collection of unsold food for students, and sets up charity fundraisers to support various causes.
Respire
Respire is the ecological association of Mines Saint-Étienne, committed to promoting sustainable and responsible practices within the school. It raises awareness among students and staff about current environmental issues, offering concrete actions to reduce the campus’s ecological footprint.

The Bureau des Arts (BDA) of Mines Saint-Étienne is the association dedicated to promoting and diversifying artistic practices within the school. Œenolomines is Mines Saint-Étienne’s wine-tasting club, for lovers of wine and gastronomy. The club invites students to discover the art of tasting and the subtleties of oenology, while sharing convivial moments. Through tasting workshops, vineyard visits and themed evenings, Œnolomines introduces participants to different grape varieties, winemaking methods, and food-and-wine pairings.
Dopamines
Dopamines is the DJ club of Mines Saint-Étienne, bringing together enthusiasts of electronic music, mixing, and musical sharing. Run by student DJs, Dopamines creates the sound atmosphere for major school events, from student parties to galas, as well as more informal gatherings. This club offers DJing enthusiasts a space for expression to explore their creativity and share their musical discoveries.
Mines’Ramax
Mines’Ramax is the cinema club of Mines Saint-Étienne, dedicated to film enthusiasts and cinematic culture. This club offers students regular screenings, debates on various films, and group outings to discover the latest theater releases. Illu-Mines
A science outreach association based on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus, Illu-Mines’ mission is to make science accessible to everyone. It designs fun workshops and takes an active part in major national events such as the Fête de la Science, to spark curiosity among younger audiences and the general public.
