Mines Saint-Étienne is committed to making its digital services accessible, in accordance with article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005.
To this end, we are implementing the following strategy and actions:

Compliance Status
The Mines Saint-Étienne website is non-compliant with the RGAA (General Accessibility Improvement Framework). The site has not yet undergone a formal compliance audit, but a proactive approach is underway as part of its redesign.
Our Priority Objectives
We are actively working to improve the following points:
- Navigation:
Optimizing keyboard navigation and adding skip links. - Alternative:
Generalizing text descriptions for images and media. - Structure:
Strict hierarchy of headings (H1 to H6) to facilitate reading by screen readers. - Documents:
Progressive compliance of downloadable documents (PDFs, application files).
Display Customization
To improve your reading comfort, an accessibility settings menu is available in the header of each page. It allows you to adjust the site’s appearance according to your needs:
- Contrast Management
- Default: standard site display.
- Enhance: increases contrasts for better distinction of elements.
- Invert: switches to dark mode (light text on a black background) to reduce visual fatigue.
- Font Adaptation (Dyslexia)
- Default: institutional font.
- Adapt (Dyslexia): switches to a specific font (such as OpenDyslexic) to facilitate reading for dyslexic individuals.
- Reading Comfort
- Line Spacing: possibility to increase the space between lines to avoid text crowding.
- Justification: allows you to modify text alignment for smoother and less tiring reading.
