The Future Networks Chair for Tomorrow’s Services, established by Télécom SudParis in partnership with Mines Saint-Étienne (Institut Fayol) and Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, is dedicated to educating engineers specializing in next-generation smart networks.
Supported by the Mines-Télécom Foundation and leading companies such as Bouygues Telecom, CNS Communications, NOKIA, SPIE ICS, and SNCF Réseau, this chair aims to prepare engineers for the challenges of constantly evolving networks.
Objectives
The Future Networks Chair addresses the growing need for skills in the field of smart networks by training generalist and specialist engineers capable of:
- Design and deploy complex network architectures
Training on the design, sizing, and deployment of networks capable of adapting to technological developments. - Optimize and secure intelligent networks
Development of skills in optimization and risk management in connected industrial systems. - Adapt to the rapid evolution of the sector
Prepare future engineers to integrate advances in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and connectivity.
Research and Academics Themes
The chair addresses several essential themes for the development of future networks:
- Intelligent Network Architecture
Design of networks capable of adapting and transforming according to needs and technological developments. - Artificial Intelligence for Networks
Application of AI for data flow optimization, predictive management, and network security. - New Risk Management
Analysis and treatment of emerging risks in networks and industrial systems, including cybersecurity and resilience against cyberattacks.
These themes are also covered in the advanced specialization track Architecture & Intelligence for Networks (AIR), allowing students to acquire practical and theoretical skills in collaboration with industry experts.
Partners and Collaborations
The Future Networks Chair benefits from a strong network of academic and industrial partners:
- Academic Institutions
Télécom SudParis, Mines Saint-Étienne (Institut Fayol), and Institut Mines-Télécom Business School combine their expertise to create a benchmark training program in network architecture. - Industrial Partners
Bouygues Telecom, CNS Communications, NOKIA, SPIE ICS, and SNCF Réseau support the chair by contributing their expertise and industrial needs to shape training programs in line with market demands.
This partnership fosters training oriented towards the current and future needs of the industry, with regular exchanges between academics and professionals to ensure continuous skill updates.
