Why this programme?
Industry 4.0 is profoundly transforming roles, tools and organisations. The 3I – Industrial Innovation Integrator track trains engineers capable of designing, testing and deploying digital and industrial technologies in support of responsible transformation.
This programme aims to meet the needs of companies facing the convergence of IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) technologies, by preparing professionals capable of ensuring the coherent and sustainable integration of these systems.

A work-study programme grounded in industrial reality
You develop your skills through continuous interaction between the School and the host organisation, as close as possible to the constraints and priorities of industry.
A balance between industrial expertise and academic rigour
Teaching is delivered 70% by industry experts and 30% by Mines Saint-Étienne teacher-researchers, combining feedback from experience, methods and conceptual mastery.
An action-oriented teaching approach
Projects, workshops, case studies and a long-term company assignment structure skills development: you learn by producing, testing and iterating.
A cutting-edge technological environment: Diwii
You benefit from a platform dedicated to the industry of the future: Diwii, a 500 m² teaching factory integrating digital solutions, robotics, digital twins, IIoT and experimentation (including Orange 5G Lab).
Who is it for?
The 3I track is intended in particular for:
- engineers and Bac+5 graduates wishing to strengthen their skills in industrial and digital technologies;
- professionals changing careers, from engineering, production or IT backgrounds;
- recent graduates in industrial engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, automation or robotics.
This diversity of profiles is a strength for the cohort: sharing practices, exchanging experience, collective learning.
The programme is open on a work-study basis to apprenticeship or professionalization contracts, employees, self-employed individuals, job seekers, and career changers.

Train engineers capable of:
- designing, integrating and managing Industry 4.0 technologies;
- supporting companies’ digital and organisational transformation;
- promoting IT/OT convergence and collaboration between technical and strategic teams;
- developing expertise that is both technological and operational, focused on responsible innovation.

An Accredited and Recognized Program
The 3i program – Integrator of Innovations in Industry is a specialized engineering program, accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI).
The program is registered in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP 40959).
It awards a specialized engineering degree, recognized by the State and industry, equivalent to Bac + 6.
