Scientific departments
The Centre for Chemical Engineering is dedicated to the study of materials and processes applied to granular media, solids, and geo-resources. Its departments explore themes such as metallurgy, the recovery of natural resources, the development and transformation of solids, and the development of advanced instrumentation for process monitoring. With an interdisciplinary approach and state-of-the-art infrastructure, the center addresses challenges in sustainability, process optimization, and resource management within the context of ecological and industrial transitions.
Studies the interactions between physical fields, materials, and natural environments to develop sensors, monitoring methods, and analytical tools applied to industrial and geological systems.
Analyzes and optimizes the transformation processes of metallic and multi-material materials, integrating recycling, industrial performance, and sustainability.
