Accommodation
PDIS students enjoy a great deal of freedom regarding their accommodation in Saint-Étienne or the surrounding municipalities. While the standard rental market (studios, shared apartments, student residences) is plentiful, the school has also established a privileged partnership to facilitate its students’ move.
Habitat & Métropole Partnership: Le Néoz Residence
As part of the PDIS curriculum, a partnership with Habitat & Métropole allows students to access new housing within the Le Neoz Residence, located at 4 place de la Sainte Barbe in Saint-Étienne.
Ideally located, the residence is just 3 minutes from the T1 and T3 tram stops (Peuple-Gambetta station), providing direct access to the Centre for Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering.
Housing Features and Equipment
The units are delivered new and benefit from an optimized layout:
- Furniture provided: bed, table, and chairs included.
- Integrated kitchenette: equipped with a refrigerator, hot plates, and a microwave-oven combo.
- Thermal comfort: central heating with individual sub-metering for each unit.
Note: electricity and water (AEP) subscriptions must be taken out individually by each tenant.
Residence Services
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi access provided by Orange.
- Practical spaces: shared laundry room (managed by a service provider), secure bike storage, and bike lockers available for rent.
- Logistics: parcel boxes available for residents.
Rates and Terms
The number of places is limited. Rents are provided as an estimate:
- Studio (T1): approximately €239/month.
- Large Studio (T1 bis): approximately €323/month.
