Imope, Opti’Waves, and Predisurge are led by researchers from Mines Saint-Étienne who are continuing the development of their scientifically and technically innovative projects. Proofs of concept, participation in Vivatech 2019 for two of them—their recent news is marked by significant achievements.
“A digital solution for public stakeholders and energy renovation”
A spin-off of Mines Saint-Étienne, Imope is developing building and city mapping, with a prototype validated by Saint-Étienne Métropole. Winner of the Data City challenge last February, organized by the City of Paris, it will deploy its expertise and propose renovation actions tailored to Paris.
The tool is developed within the Territory Platform of the Institut Fayol.
The Imope team will be present at the IMT stand with TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne for the 4th edition of Vivatech from May 16 to 18.

“Proof of concept” for Opti’Waves
After a successful start to the year (participation in CES Las Vegas and winner of the IMT-Bercy Grand Prize), Opti’Waves is continuing its development and the presentation of its operational prototype.
The young company participated in the IDS trade fair last March in Cologne, one of the largest dental trade fairs in the world—a success for a first-time participant and an opportunity for live demonstrations of ultra-fast (40-minute) zirconia firing.
Opti’Waves develops and markets a microwave ceramic sintering technology ten times faster than those currently on the market for the production of dental prostheses.

PrediSurge’s solution for addressing aortic aneurysm issues
Participation in CES Las Vegas in January, clinical study, POC for a new product…, Predisurge is also among the technological gems selected to participate in the Vivatech trade fair at the IMT stand.
The innovative start-up offers hospital practitioners software solutions for preoperative planning and assistance with endovascular surgery, particularly for aortic aneurysms: its new website provides a concrete presentation of the collaborative platform and the 3D digital simulator designed by Predisurge.
10 people currently work at Predisurge; the next step will be product commercialization and seeking private investors.
>> Detailed explanations with the co-founders of PrediSurge: Jean-Noël Albertini, surgeon and professor of cardiology at the Saint-Étienne University Hospital; Stéphane Avril, Director of the Centre for Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering; David Perrin, CEO of the start-up; and Alban Molle, CFO, guests on April 4 on the program “Une heure ensemble” on France Bleu Saint-Étienne Loire.
