Two prizes awarded to the school’s students at the Saint-Étienne Smart City Hackathon 2018

The 1st hackathon organized by the City of Saint-Étienne, Saint-Étienne Métropole, and Suez, was held from March 23 to 25 at the Cité du Design. It focused on three specific themes proposed to improve the quality of life in the Tarentaize-Beaubrun-Couriot district: urban tranquility, mobility, and the local economy.

A team of 4 students from Saint-Étienne won the 2nd prize of €3,000 for the “Positive wall” project, a connected wall for neighborhood pride (urban tranquility category). This interactive and collective space displays images, videos, and informative data (weather, consumption, etc.) with the aim of promoting civic actions.
