The Sud Region, rising Sud, Provence Promotion, and the Eurobiomed Cluster chose the Georges Charpak Provence Campus to present the Provençal ecosystem for life sciences innovation: the support programme for BIOFIT 2019 delegates began with a “Life science tour” on our campus.

On December 9, we had the pleasure of receiving a delegation of 41 international industry representatives from the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, California, China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, and France, accompanied by journalists.

After a presentation of the School, David Moreau, professor and researcher at the Centre of Microelectronics in Provence, detailed the research activities of the Centre for Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering and those of the Bioelectronics department, in connection with the “Life Science” theme.

Presentations from TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne and the Micropacks platform introduced the hosting and support services offered in the region.

Eurobiomed, a competitiveness pole and European cluster, and Rising Sud, the regional economic development agency responsible for hosting relocation projects in Provence, then presented their respective services. The visit continued at the Luminy Technopole (South Marseille) dedicated to life sciences.
