“Digital Intelligence Way for Industry Institute”: the platform dedicated to the digital transformation of companies, jointly led by Mines Saint-Étienne and EM Lyon on the Campus Région du Numérique, is among the winners of the call for projects launched by the Region to join the Research and Innovation Factory of the Campus Région du Numérique.

The announcement was made at the Digital Summit 2019 “Train, transform, innovate – How is digital technology impacting our companies?”, held on September 26 at the Regional Council Headquarters in Lyon.
The call for projects had been launched by the Region in January to select innovative initiatives. Four projects were selected and will receive support of up to €9 million from the Region.

“The selected consortia will help strengthen the Campus Région du Numérique ecosystem with cutting-edge expertise for the benefit of students and companies.”

Diwii is the result of a broad public-private partnership bringing together seven partners whose mission is initial and continuing education, applied research, consulting, and support for students and companies, particularly SMEs.
The project team is made up of Mines Saint-Étienne and EM Lyon, co-leads, as well as Sigma Clermont, 2MAtech, CETIM, humantodata, and Siemens.
A true training and research factory and the foundation for a future Digital Center, the “Digital Intelligence Way for Industry Institute” project aims to develop a platform, “IT’m Factory 3X“, featuring a space representing a physical and virtual digital factory.

“Five people will be employed, with 30 direct jobs ultimately targeted in expertise and consulting, in addition to positions related to training and research.”

“Its distinctive feature will be to integrate management issues and the acceptability of organisations and staff in the face of the industry of the future.”

Phase 2 will focus on setting up the functional platforms for the opening of the Campus scheduled for September 2020. This partnership project will build on strong synergy between the consortia.
