The results are in and our School’s commitment has been recognized!

This year, 50 French higher education institutions participated in the ChangeNOW x Les Echos ranking, which highlights schools that place ecological and social transition issues at the heart of their educational reflections and projects.

This ranking of the most committed business and engineering schools showcases institutions that actively prepare their students to meet tomorrow’s challenges based on various criteria:

  • Integration of environmental and social issues into educational programmes
  • A network of engaged Alumni in the impact sector
  • Governance and a CSR strategy focused on the future
  • Diversity and equal opportunities, for greater inclusion
  • Engagement of student associations in impact projects
  • Employability and academic excellence

Today we are pleased to announce that Mines Saint-Étienne has achieved 9th place in the ranking. Our School has redoubled its efforts in its commitment to ecological and social transition. For example:

  • The Respire conference in partnership with ISTP and The Shifters association
  • The 2Tonnes workshops offered by the GT – Ecological Transition of Mines Saint-Étienne
  • The interdisciplinary degree from the Collège des Hautes Études Lyon Sciences (CHELS)
  • The Lowtech & Industry Days organized at the School
  • The Gigowatt or Graines exhibitions at La Rotonde
  • The Ambassadrices programme that highlights women in engineering

As 2025 draws to a close, we are very proud that our commitment is bearing fruit. We thank all staff and students who participated, directly or indirectly, in bringing Mines Saint-Étienne to this ranking.
