The exhibition is open to the public at the Platine de la Cité du Design until April 22. Three installations and related content are presented by the School: Heritage-Materials, Man-Materials, and Recirculation-Materials.

“The relationship between Man and Materials has been woven through encounters and experimentation. Man has an overabundance of materials to choose from and desires the development of ever more specific materials.”

This meeting is structured around various presentations featuring numerous guests, including Baptiste Menu, designer-researcher and PhD student at the SMS center, who presented his work on “New strategies for enhancing the form-material pairing: Design as unusual?”.

A new defense of the Habilitation to Direct Research

Nicolas Moulin successfully defended his HDR on April 9: research professor, head of the Computing and Numerical Simulations platform, SMS center, Georges Friedel Laboratory UMR CNRS 5307, his work focuses on the “Modeling and numerical simulation of direct manufacturing processes, in particular high-performance composite manufacturing processes”.
