“The PhD is research training that leads doctoral students to develop in an international context. In the same way as for master’s-level degrees, an international experience is an asset in enhancing one’s academic pathway for a first job.”

On 14 June, the annual research day of the EDSIS 488 doctoral school welcomed nearly 150 doctoral students around three highlights: testimonials, a round table and a poster competition. Twelve of them received awards.

The round table took place in several successive sessions, which made it possible to address different aspects of international mobility during the PhD: commitments, the doctoral student’s status during mobility, practical aspects, and the role of the associated services.

Professional and personal benefits are expected for the doctoral student and the laboratories involved.
