The graduation ceremony for the Microelectronics and Computer Science Engineering degree (ISMIN) took place this Saturday, November 27. Graduates from the Class of 2018 and their families gathered at the Georges Charpak Provence campus in Gardanne.
The ceremony was sponsored by Agnieska Bruyère, Vice President of the Public Cloud entity for Europe at IBM France. The programme for this wonderful event included speeches from the directors, graduates and faculty, among others. The graduates also produced videos looking back on their years at Mines Saint-Étienne, as well as a quiz. A live broadcast of the ceremony was streamed on YouTube (replay below). At the end, graduates, families and School staff shared a convivial moment over a cocktail reception—also an opportunity for graduates to reunite.
Congratulations to all graduates!
This ceremony marked the last graduation ceremony for Pascal Ray, who stepped down from his position as Director at the end of November. Krzysztof Wolski (Deputy Director in charge of programmes), accompanied by graduates, presented him with a miner’s lamp in recognition of the work he accomplished at the School.
After the graduation ceremony, the traditional Gala show took place. The show was organised by students on campus. The evening continued at the Château de Roquefeuille.
