Since its creation in 2015, Air Space Drone has been developing a secure air traffic management system for civil drones. With its “Flysafe” device, the startup is developing ambitious projects at both national and international levels: its real-time tracking and control solution for drone trajectories has made it a leading international player for testing in large urban areas.

A fundraising round in 2018, the hiring of five employees, including two developers and a risk analysis director, membership in the Secured Communicating Solutions (SCS) competitiveness cluster, support and a true partnership with this same SCS cluster and the Sud Region—Air Space Drone, hosted within Team@Mines Saint-Étienne on the Georges Charpak Provence Campus, continues its ascent.

Its current news is also marked by several partnerships that strengthen the deployment of its activities and its international role in drone security thanks to its anti-collision box:

  • A partnership with Airbus Helicopters: ASD was selected to participate in the SKYWAYS project in Singapore, a unique and global “Smart City” experience, to test its onboard system in real-world conditions.
  • A “Proof of Concept” with the deployment of airspace security in Monaco in cooperation with the Principality’s civil aviation authorities.
  • A strong commitment to the SAFE competitiveness cluster through certification: the development of the “FLYSAFE ASD” digital platform enables secure low-altitude drone traffic management.
  • The signing of a partnership in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Japanese company Carciel (Aerospace and Defense Consulting firm)
  • A partnership agreement recently signed with HEXADRONE, a startup specializing in the development of solutions related to the use of civil and military drones, which last year launched the “TUNDRA®,” the first modular industrial drone. This collaboration demonstrates significant synergy and ambitious joint projects.
