This year, European Cybersecurity Month runs from October 1st to 31 October. A European initiative, Cybersecurity Month raises awareness of cyber threats and the right habits to protect against them. This edition revisits History to illustrate the best practices to adopt in cybersecurity.

You may have noticed them: portraits of Marie Antoinette, Joan of Arc, or Christopher Columbus line the School’s corridors. A preview of the programme prepared by the Information Systems Department to raise Mines Saint-Étienne’s awareness of cybersecurity.

For this edition, the teams will come to meet you to offer personalised workshops. The aim is to present and install our new strengthened authentication solution (MFA) to better protect the data of our services. In 2025, relying on a simple password is no longer sufficient and, by the end of the year, 100% of staff will have to use MFA on a daily basis.

The Information Systems Department remains at your disposal to assist you with this transition, which will help strengthen the security of our School.
