The former Partnerships and Innovation Directorate has been divided into two distinct departments to strengthen the School’s capacity to innovate, develop, and support ambitious projects in a changing economic environment.

The Development Directorate (DVE)

Effective September 1, 2025, Antoine Lavignotte, the new Development Director, will oversee activities related to the development of major projects and the management of technological platforms. The objective is to optimize the School’s own resources, particularly by leveraging chairs, joint laboratories, patronage programmes, the Alumni network, and everything that connects research and training activities with businesses.

This appointment supports Mines Saint-Étienne’s ambition to evolve its public-private funding model, with businesses being a significant lever for this paradigm shift.

The Performance and Valorization Directorate (DPV)

This directorate is under the responsibility of Eric Duflot, who will manage and monitor lifelong learning projects and support the School’s corporate relations.
The DPV offers various short courses and specialized Master’s programmes to meet the evolving needs of professionals. In collaboration with all stakeholders of the School, it stimulates innovation to foster the growth of young companies and contribute to the creation of a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem. It also integrates quality management for the entire School and the strategic dimension of management control, to optimize performance and ensure efficient resource management.
