Encapsulix, a leading innovative “high tech nanotech” company

The company develops a process for encapsulating microelectronics products “such as architectural glazing, OLED screens, batteries, etc., a process that provides unprecedented reliability. Encapsulix aims for global leadership within 5 years” . Learn more on the Pays d’Aix Développement website.

Encapsulix, funded by the DAP, incubated by Impulse, and matured at TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne, was hosted on the Georges Charpak campus, benefiting from a scientific and technical environment conducive to its development and the installation of its first machine in the School’s cleanroom. Several students, as part of educational projects, participated in the realization of preliminary proofs of concept and prototypes. This project is a great example of the cross-enrichment between startups/researchers/students, a development model for our program’s concept.
Today, Jacques Kools, its founding director, is involved in supporting one of our new projects: TecMoled.
