The new students on the ISMIN programme started the academic year on Thursday 27 August on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus. As tradition has it, it was the 2nd-year students, dressed in their uniform, who welcomed them by forming a guard of honour.
It was with a certain emotion that the 117 students of the new ISMIN cohort shook hands with their 2nd-year counterparts, to launch their programme. They then listened to David Delafosse, Director of the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus, before discovering the places they will be frequenting in the years to come.

The ISMIN programme (Microelectronics and Computer Systems Engineering) at Mines Saint-Étienne combines scientific excellence with a culture of innovation. Backed by the Centre of Microelectronics in Provence (CMP), it enables future engineers to evolve in a stimulating environment that connects education, research and entrepreneurship.
Based on immersive teaching, the ISMIN programme offers engineering students hands-on projects, internships and extended immersion in a professional environment. Each student thus becomes an active participant in their pathway, to become a responsible engineer capable of connecting technology and societal challenges.
