Air Space Drone and the Monegasque Civil Aviation Authority previewed the FlySafe programme on June 3. This system will allow the identification of all authorized drone flights in the Principality. The startup is supported by TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne on the G Charpak Provence Campus.

The official demonstration of Flysafe was a success. The live flight simulation showcased all the capabilities of the entirely innovative UTM (Unmanned Traffic Management) control system.

“This is the first truly comprehensive UTM put into service: a world first and a technological feat.”

Air Space Drone has been developing a secure low-altitude air traffic management system for civil drones since its creation in 2015. An ambitious programme, supported in its development by Team@Mines Saint-Étienne.

Monaco, a pioneer in Urban Air Mobility and the networking of new mobilities

By making the system operational within its territory as of June 17, the Principality becomes the first state to acquire a real-time control capacity for autonomous flying vehicles and to visualize their trajectories. It is thus anticipating future urban mobility between the Nice and Monaco airports.
