Mines Saint-Étienne hosted the NEMO Innovation Camp from July 15 to 19, 2025, an intensive one-week programme dedicated to digital innovation in both industry and healthcare, to support innovation towards 5.0 organisations.
34 students, researchers and engineers from many European countries took part in this unique experience to train in the digital transition.
On the programme: hands-on working sessions delivered by international experts and 5 case studies based on real industrial challenges, coordinated by the companies ABB, AÉSIO Santé, HILTI, MARQUARDT and STUV.
With a strong spirit of collaboration, analysis and co-creation, and thanks to a 5.0 innovation methodology proposed by the Innovation Camp, the groups were able to develop a complete process—from high-level design thinking to process modelling and prototyping—and propose innovative approaches in the areas of digital twins and conceptual modelling. The innovation award sponsored by BOC Group, the event’s partner, was presented to the team working on the “HILTI” case study.
All participants were able to acquire practical know-how and the tools needed to excel in the 5.0 digital era! All received the European certification in 5.0 innovation.
Organised by CIS and OMILAB as part of the European CoDEMO project (Erasmus+ and partners, https://codemo-project.eu/), NEMO 2025 was supported by BOC Group, AÉSIO Santé, LIMOS (UMR CNRS 6158) and the GdR MACS.
We would like to warmly thank all participants, contributors, sponsors, facilitators and organisers for their commitment and for making this week a rich experience of Industry 5.0 in collaboration with a major European academic and industrial community.
