On June 3rd, Mines Saint-Etienne hosted the ‘Digitalization of the Waste Sector’ technical day, an event designed to present innovative projects and digital operational solutions for waste management.
Organized by AXELERA, the chemistry-environment competitiveness cluster of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, the day was structured around three main themes presented by various industry, research, and training stakeholders in chemistry and environment:
- AI for sorting
- The quality of granules from cable recycling
- Optimizing the sorting of plastics and textiles
By participating in the hosting of this thematic day, Mines Saint-Etienne and the SPIN center (Process Engineering) encourage reflection and innovation regarding the optimization of waste collection, treatment, and management at the regional level.
