50 students and 3 non-degree auditors joined the 2nd year of the ICM programme directly. From a wide range of backgrounds, they are adding the Ingénieur Civil des Mines degree to their education and strengthening their professional skills.
From France and around the world, students joining the Ingénieur Civil des Mines programme in the 2nd year gathered on the historic Saint-Étienne campus.
- 32 come from an international university: Colombia, Lebanon, Italy, China, Morocco and Brazil.
- 8 come from medical studies and are pursuing a dual degree: medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.
- 10 are students at a partner grande école of Mines Saint-Étienne: EM Lyon and IMT Business School.
Another route into the ICM programme
Usually accessed via the Mines-Ponts joint competitive examination, the ICM programme is open in the 2nd year as part of a dual degree or through admission on the basis of qualifications. University students, students from partner schools, and those in medical and pharmacy programmes may apply.
This second route of entry makes it possible to diversify profiles and foster synergies between programmes, while recognising the breadth of talents.
