Annual meeting of the OQUAIDO applied mathematics chair
More than 40 participants took part in the 4th scientific days of the OQUAIDO Chair from May 14 to 16 at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse: an opportunity to bring together specialists in the field and attend high-quality presentations.
“In addition to the work updates by the Chair partners, there were talks by Luc Pronzato (kernel spectral decomposition and sensitivity analysis), Merlin Keller (a review of Bayesian identification), Thibault Espinasse / Paul Rochet (graphs and statistics), Alice Le Brigant / Stéphane Puechmorel (a geometric approach to statistics) and Nicolas Durrande (Gaussian processes with banded precision matrices). “

The work of the BioPi department in the spotlight!
A new #nanotox article has just been published in Environmental Science: Nano – Journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry. It focuses on “the detection of nanometer to micron particles in the lungs and diagnosis of lung pathology”: a remarkable scientific collaboration between the Saint-Étienne University Hospital and the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne as part of the NanoPi clinical trial.
Congratulations to the team from the Biomaterials Engineering and Inhaled Particles department of the Centre for Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering!
