Muriel Nguyen was appointed Prefect of the Loire department in early September 2025.
Former Director for the Protection and Security of the State within the “SGDSN” (General Secretariat for Defence and National Security), the Prefect met Jacques Fayolle and visited Mines Saint-Étienne on Thursday, 26 February.
Mrs Nguyen was able to discover the School’s historic site, our researchers’ laboratories, the park and the technical hall. It was an opportunity for the Director to reiterate the strong local and economic roots of our School, as well as its commitment to training future leaders who are aware of tomorrow’s challenges.
