The School and the Fondation de l’Avenir signed, on April 23, the agreement for Mines Saint-Étienne to join the Avenir Santé Numérique Chair, an original initiative led by the Mutualité Française represented by Eovi.
Our contribution will focus on assessing the performance of new healthcare technologies, expertise clearly identified at the Engineering and Health Centre.

The signing took place in the presence of Dominique Letourneau, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Fondation de l’Avenir, Maurice Ronat, Chairman of the Eovi Mcd mutuelle group, Rémi Bouvier, Chief Executive Officer of Eovi Mcd santé et service, and Pascal Ray, Director of Mines Saint-Étienne.

“Thinking about digital health as a whole and in a scientific manner, prioritising a multidisciplinary approach”

The Chair is funded by the Fonds Avenir Santé Numérique, which is organised in particular around the major mutual insurance organisations of the Mutualité Française, including Eovi.
Since its creation in January 2018, it has been led by the Fondation de l’Avenir, Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) and researchers affiliated with Inserm.

Established for a period of three years, the Chair aims to “enable the development of innovative approaches for designing new products, assess the performance of a healthcare organisation, and assess the emergence of integrated care models with patients becoming active user-participants”.

Stéphane Avril, Director of the CIS, David Delafosse, Director of Research and Innovation, Xiaolan Xie, Head of the I4S Department, and Vincent Augusto, lecturer-researcher at the CIS, Healthcare Engineering (I4S) Department

“Our research programme will focus on aspects of modelling patient flows and care pathways integrating new healthcare technologies, and on performance assessment of care pathways integrating digital health (health data and prediction).”

This agreement will enable the recruitment at the CIS of a postdoctoral researcher on these device assessment topics: effectiveness and quality of technologies such as teleconsultation, monitoring and health prevention connections…

Vincent Augusto is the School representative for this Chair.
