The association of graduates and students of Mines Saint-Étienne is a pillar of the school’s influence. It brings together a network of more than 9,000 members and actively contributes to student success, both in their education and in their professional careers.
Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni is above all a dynamic and supportive community. Students benefit from its services from their very first integration activities. The association participates in organizing the measurements for traditional uniforms and ensures the smooth running of each step, from ordering to tailoring and then delivery of the outfits.
Following this, alumni participate in the WANAs ICM and ISMIN (New Student Welcome Weekends) to welcome incoming classes, share their experience and offer advice. They also provide support for the event by contributing a subsidy through donations from graduates collected by the Foundation.
Making students’ daily lives easier
The association remains committed alongside students throughout their studies by providing active support to programs and events.
It supports them in their daily lives, providing financial assistance to the ICM and ISMIN Student Unions and granting loans to students in difficulty.

Members of Saint-Étienne Alumni are also called upon to serve on the jury for the final oral examination. They participate in an ICM Day and an ISMIN Day, which the association organizes on each campus to enable students from all three classes to interact with Alumni.
The Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni network also enables it to offer a careers service, which includes job postings, advice, coaching opportunities, and more.
Between future and traditions: sharing the school’s key moments
A major player in the school’s influence, Mines Saint-Étienne Alumni takes part in its developments to better put them in perspective.
It is with this in mind that the association’s Board of Directors annual seminar was held in late June 2026 on the Diwii platform, in the presence of Jacques Fayolle—director of Mines Saint-Étienne—and Krzysztof Wolski—director of education.
This day allowed participants to discover the potential of this site dedicated to Industry 4.0 technologies and its implications for Mines Saint-Étienne. It also demonstrates the close collaboration of Alumni in engineering education.
Indeed, they come to congratulate young engineers at graduation ceremonies and join in the Sainte Barbe festivities, to experience alongside students the traditions that have shaped the school’s identity.
Alumni mobilization will be even stronger in 2027, the centenary year of the historic campus. Association members will participate in the celebrations and work to raise greater awareness of Mines Saint-Étienne’s history.
Good to know: Located at the heart of the Saint-Étienne campus (158, cours Fauriel), the association is fully integrated into the school. A proximity that fosters exchanges between current students and their predecessors. It also extends its activities to the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus through a network of committed Alumni, to be present and available on both campuses.
