Mines Saint-Étienne organized and hosted the 10th International Design Innovation Workshop from April 1st to 4th: 25 international students from Brunel University of London, Politecnico di Milano, Auburn University (USA), and ICM students worked this year on the theme “Making in the City: the factories are back in town”.
Based on a question posed by a new technology or new practices, multidisciplinary teams of 4 to 5 students proposed a prospective vision before developing it in five directions: users, context, scenarios, business model, and technologies.
The park house in “design thinking” mode: project management and multidisciplinarity for English, Italian, American, and French students.
After the phases of reflection, creativity, exchanges, and a visit to the School’s Prototyping area, it was time to implement the projects.
The final achievements were unveiled at the end of the week.
