This summer school, entitled “Shaping Health Innovation for the Future of Technology” (SHIFT), will take place at Mines Saint-Étienne, at the CIS, from May 18 to 29, 2026.

It follows the working seminar held in June 2025 between Texas State University and Mines Saint-Étienne on the Health Innovations Campus, a prestigious collaboration as part of the development of joint teaching initiatives.

The SHIFT programme is an interdisciplinary exploration of digital health that will enable participants to acquire practical skills in health data analysis, cybersecurity, interoperability, AI and health literacy, ethics, governance, and project management. With a focus on hands-on learning and international collaboration, this programme will immerse students in real-world challenges in the healthcare sector through lectures, team activities, and a hackathon.

The SHIFT programme is supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Saint-Étienne Métropole.
