Academic collaborations and researcher mobility at the Fayol Institute
• As part of the collaboration on the theme “Diversity management and mass customization” (#industry of the future), carried out in partnership with the “Mass customization group” team at the Danish university Aalborg University, Bjørn Christensen, a third-year PhD student, completed a two-month mobility period (March–April) in the Department of Environmental and Organisational Engineering.
A PhD student in the same department, Omar Ezzat was hosted on an outgoing mobility period at the Danish university for three months ( Mass customization group, February–April, 2019).
The Fayol Institute also hosted Ann-Louise Andersen, Assistant Professor at Aalborg, from 1 to 5 April.
• Stefan Wiesner, Research Scientist at the University of Bremen, was hosted on 16 and 17 April for a threefold mission as part of collaborative projects with the Fayol Institute:
– a session in the Advance Master in Industrial Transition Management (MS MTI),
– a working meeting also linked to the theme “Diversity management and mass customization”,
– student exchange projects under an ERASMUS agreement in place since 2018.

Internationalisation of training programmes: best practices, initiatives and exchange programmes
Paul Wheal, Head of the International Unit within the Training Directorate, carried out several European missions as part of our exchange programmes and days dedicated to international development and promoting our training programmes:
• Participation in Erasmus Staff Week (international student mobility and promotion of experiences) from 8 to 12 April at the University of Amsterdam and the University of Edinburgh.
• Visits to UK institutions from 25 to 29 March: University of Bristol, a partner of the school; Cork Institute of Technology (meeting with its Director, Barry O’Connor) & University College Cork, a partnership under development for ISMIN and ICM exchanges.
• Feedback on the Cequint certification process for the International Commission of AGERA, which was held on our campus on 22 March,
• Facilitation of a workshop of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles dedicated to the internationalisation of the engineering programme (a day of reflection and exchange of best practices on the internationalisation of training programmes) on 21 March at École des Ponts-Paritech.
