Each year, several meetings are offered to engineering students on our campuses: international mobility forums and academic mobility forums by modern languages. These provide essential opportunities for information and exchange, fostering a better understanding of students and the School’s partner universities.
The “Academic Mobility by Modern Language” forums were held on November 22: Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese students currently hosted at the School were invited to present their universities to first-year students (practical information on each university’s specialties, courses, campus, daily life, and culture of the cities and countries presented…).
Outcome: high-quality presentations that were well-attended, with strong engagement from 19 universities represented and 25 participants (AST, AL, Master of Science in Engineering, as well as a PhD student).
International Mobility Forums 2018
Two days of information and exchange on the international mobility programs for ICM and ISMIN curricula are offered annually to engineering students. These include dedicated spaces for presentations of academic destinations, meetings with country representatives and international students, information booths, and Skype sessions conducive to exchanges with students currently abroad.
On the Saint-Étienne campus, an intercultural buffet prepared by students and the student association @Mines International Students concluded the event in a very convivial manner.
These meetings, organized by the international department, also contribute to the quality of the training environment and to the best practices cited as examples within the framework of our CeQuInt certification.
