Collaborative learning, responsible innovation, societal challenges, and technological projects will be the key themes of Innov’Actions 2018: three days of collective experimentation offered to third-year ISMIN students from February 26 to 28, 2018, in partnership with Métropole Aix Marseille Provence and Pépite Paca Ouest. The projects will focus on environmental responsibility and will be presented to a panel of professionals chaired by Marc Lassus.
The goal will be to “give meaning to innovation”!
This initiative is facilitated by Maieutik consulting and supported by the school’s faculty-researchers and staff. It is designed for the 75 third-year students of the ISMIN programme at the Georges Charpak Provence campus.
This year, it takes on a metropolitan scope, open for the first time to students from Pepite PACA-Ouest, a partner of the school, and to students from Saint-Étienne (ICM students).
Several startups from TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne have also mobilized to participate in this collective innovation experience and will join student teams.
Nearly 100 people are expected for these days, which mark a key moment in the ISMIN programme in a “maker” spirit similar to the Dynamo days.
The objective of Innov’Actions is twofold:
- To offer students the opportunity to develop over three days a project conceived this year on the theme of environmental responsibility.
- To test on a real scale a collective and concrete experiment in the context of the prototyping innovation platform, Id-Fab, by conducting a reflection on the meaning and use of their proposals.
The professional panel is composed of representatives from Mines Saint-Étienne, IMT, Métropole Aix Marseille, entrepreneurs, and several of our “innovation” partners (Pepite, BPI…).
It will be chaired by Marc LASSUS, founder and former president of Gemalto and president of Watenergy, a startup specializing in environmental issues (drinking water access and management).
Please note that two plenary conferences will be offered during Innov’Actions:
- The opening keynote on ideation or the creative process by Nadia Trainar, Thecamp
- A “Success story” presentation by Corinne Versini, president of Genes’ink and sponsor of the ISMIN 2018 class.
