Illu-Mines is the first engineering student organization to join the Culture Science PACA network! Thanks to the commitment of nearly 60 ISMIN engineering students each year, the association carries out numerous activities to share and promote scientific culture with all audiences.
The renewal of the executive board will take place next March.
Illu-Mines took part for the first time in the Forum Territorial Culture Science PACA 2017, held on February 10 in Marseille.
Antoine Lasserre, Vice-President, presented the association and its activities brilliantly to the network members—more than 70 people.
Guillaume-Alexandre Chaizy-Gostovitch, Events Manager, led a workshop on social media—an opportunity to raise participants’ awareness of the importance of social media in association life!
The association’s schedule has also been very full since the start of the 2017 academic year:
– Academic support: every Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the Logis de Notre Dame in Gardanne, until December 31, 2017! These sessions focus on homework help and short, fun scientific workshops.
– Activities at Leisure Centres during school holidays: science outreach workshops in a more playful setting for children aged 9 to 12.
– Guidance sessions: aimed mainly at high school students, these meetings help young people make better choices and take into account the importance of scientific studies and careers. The most recent session took place on January 20, the opening date of the Admission Post-Bac procedure.
The Illu-Mines team will hold two general assemblies on March 8 on the G Charpak Provence Campus (lecture hall):
– Extraordinary General Assembly at 4:45 PM to amend the bylaws.
– Ordinary General Assembly at 5:00 PM: activity report and financial report for the year, election of the new team.
