On August 30, first-year students in the ICM and Fusion tracks were welcomed to 158 cours Fauriel with their parents.
250 people attended the School presentation by Director Jacques Fayolle and Deputy Director in charge of programmes Krzysztof Wolski. Tours were organised in parallel, with the programme including discovery of the historic building, the library, the FabLab, the park, and even the cabins.
The School’s staff and alumni were able to introduce students to the legacy of Mines Saint-Étienne graduates through the photo gallery of graduating classes. The renowned civilian uniform of one of them, Louis Perrin, was also on display. Dating from 1915 but in perfect condition, this black outfit with blue lapels made a strong impression and inspired the young students present.
An event that was unanimously praised by the families, who greatly appreciated being able to picture the next three years their children would experience.
