This year’s information and awareness day was dedicated to disabilities related to degenerative diseases such as Charcot disease/ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Several workshops, a round table, and a social gathering allowed participants to exchange ideas with associations and event partners.

The round table brought together Jean-Philippe Camdessanche, physician and professor of neurology at the Saint-Étienne University Hospital, Cécile Dupré, occupational therapist at Envie Autonomie, Laurent Navarro, professor-researcher at Mines Saint-Étienne, Centre for Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering, member of the robotic arm research team (*), and Pascal Demeure, president of the association Une vie un combat contre la SLA.

Four workshops in collaboration with the day’s partners were then offered to the School’s students and staff for a mobility awareness session:

Thank you to the speakers for their insightful presentations, commitment, and enthusiasm; thank you to the event partners for their mobilization and energy; and to all participants, students, and staff for their presence.
