Since 2018, Mines Saint-Etienne has been a member of the Collège des Hautes Etudes de Lyon. CHELS brings together 8 member or associate institutions of the University of Lyon: the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, Centrale Lyon, the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Mines Saint-Étienne, Sciences Po Lyon, VetAgro Sup, emlyon business school, and Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University.
This year, the College is launching its first Inter-Institutional Diploma, a one-year transdisciplinary program that leads students to reflect on the major transitions brought about by climate and environmental changes.
The 8 students were welcomed on Monday morning in Saint-Etienne for a discovery week centered on the concepts of Resources and Territories. Faculty researchers presented the issues addressed during the program: pollution, pressure on resources, planetary boundaries, and the solutions students can provide.
Between practical workshops and more theoretical courses, we wish the CHELS students a successful integration into our School.
