Welcoming teachers and students from preparatory classes for grandes écoles, new CHEL[s] initiatives for the 2019-2020 season
Welcoming CPGE teachers
25 teachers from preparatory classes for grandes écoles participated in sessions dedicated to the “Python” programming language (LIESSE Training, levels 1 and 2) from June 17 to 21.
These two sessions were taught by Asdin Aoufi, a lecturer-researcher at the SMS center, and focused on solving preparatory class-level problems. The aim was, on the one hand, to train them in using basic Python concepts for array manipulation and creating animations of numerical simulations, and on the other hand, in programming algorithms in Python for the numerical resolution of differential and partial differential equations (heat and wave equations).
Educational programme with Lycée Fauriel
As part of a collaborative programme between Mines Saint-Étienne and the preparatory classes at Lycée Fauriel, 24 MPSI1 students and two teachers were welcomed from June 24 to 26. The training focused on image processing.
