As every year, Cybermois shines a light on the risks associated with using digital tools. Mines Saint-Étienne is taking part in this national campaign by organising internal awareness-raising workshops.

Cybermois - We are #cyberengagés

As the national relay for the European Cybersecurity Month, Cybermois, led by Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr, offers initiatives across France to promote good digital practices.
Talks, interactive games, workshops, discussion groups, exhibitions, etc. are organised nationwide from 1st to 31 October to raise awareness among a wide range of audiences.
For several years, Mines Saint-Étienne has been actively involved in this national programme and is launching several internal initiatives. In particular, staff are invited to take part in themed workshops and a webinar on 15 October.

A major societal challenge

Cybermois echoes Mines Saint-Étienne’s commitment to responsible digital practices. As a signatory of the Numérique Responsable charter and then the IA Responsable charter, the School encourages thoughtful use of digital tools.

  • Creation of a charter for the use of artificial intelligence tools.
  • Promotion of completing the IA Responsable MOOC from the Institut du Numérique Responsable.
  • Organisation of the Festival du Numérique Responsable.
  • Raising awareness and implementing good practices in everyday life.
  • Active participation in Digital Cleanup Days, an international event that raises awareness of the environmental footprint of digital technology through action, held every year in March.

Driven by its ambition to deliver innovations with societal impact, Mines Saint-Étienne is taking action to support the major transitions at the heart of sustainable development and social responsibility.

It was one of the first engineering schools to obtain the Numérique Responsable label – level 1 in 2023, a certification renewed in 2025 for two years.
