As every year, the traditional graduation ceremony for the Engineering Degree in Microelectronics and Computer Science (ISMIN) took place at the end of November. The graduates, accompanied by their families, gathered to conclude their three years of study at the G. Charpak Provence campus.

The graduation ceremony

The ISMIN graduation ceremony (Engineering degree in Microelectronics and Computer Science) took place on the Georges Charpak Provence campus in Gardanne. It was sponsored by Stéphane Boyer, co-founder of So-Buzz and himself a 2010 graduate. The programme for this fine event included speeches from the directors, graduates and faculty members, among others. The graduates had also produced videos retracing their years at Mines Saint-Étienne, as well as a quiz. At the end, graduates, families and School staff shared a convivial moment over a cocktail reception—also an opportunity for the graduates to meet up again.

The students’ show

After the ceremony, the graduates and their families were invited to the Gala, the students’ show. For several months, the students had been preparing a show for their former classmates. This year’s theme was “James Bond.” Virtuosos, singers, musicians, martial artists, and more took the stage under the guidance of the show’s mistress of ceremonies.
