The College of Engineering, which brings together four major engineering schools in the region—ENTPE, Centrale Lyon, INSA Lyon, and Mines Saint-Etienne—organized its back-to-school seminar to prepare for the coming year around shared perspectives.

Approximately sixty people gathered with the four school directors for a Q session. The discussion focused on the challenges for 2026. From addressing hurdles to consolidating projects, the goal is to build an engineering alliance dedicated to industrial, ecological, and digital transitions.

Among other things, this involves:

  • Developing the E@SELY SKILLS project (continuing education and European research)
  • Supporting the growth of Bachelor’s and international Master’s programs
  • Structuring interdisciplinary thesis clusters
  • Strengthening entrepreneurship and regional integration
  • Promoting scientific mediation

The objective is also to foster a true team spirit and collaboration between the four schools. Working together naturally leads to more successful projects and collective funding acquisition.
