Initiated in 2024 by Sylvain Blayac, professor-researcher at Mines Saint-Étienne, Fair Tech Day is dedicated to raising awareness among engineering students about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

You are expected on June 5 on the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus for Fair Tech Day! This day co-constructed with 1st-year ISMIN students as part of the Sustainable Development, Social Responsibility and Sustainable Transition course opens the discussion on “Supporting transitions.”
This is the theme of the 2026 edition and the day will alternate between plenary sessions and discussions with speakers, practical workshops, company and research stands to reflect together on a sustainable future.

This event is a key milestone in the 1st-year ISMIN programme. It allows students to question dominant technological models and meet stakeholders offering innovative and concrete solutions. Fair Tech Day thus extends the SDG module offered to students.

This year’s programme:

  • 20 speakers from companies and professor-researchers
  • 10 conferences and presentations around 3 themes:
    • designing with environments
    • activating transitions through public action
    • making digital technology a lever for transition
  • 6 practical workshops on bio-based materials and air quality monitoring
  • 6 Company and Research stands
