Who is the Master of Science in Engineering IEOR for?

The Master of Science in Engineering in Advanced Industrial Engineering Methods (IEOR) is for students wishing to develop high-level expertise in industrial engineering and operational research, to design, manage, and optimize complex organizations (industry, supply chain, services, hospital systems).

This Master of Science in Engineering targets profiles attracted to:

  • the modeling and optimization of industrial and logistics systems,
  • the decision support at all levels (strategic, tactical, operational),
  • the Industry of the Future and Healthcare of the Future application areas.

Eligible Profiles

The Master of Science in Engineering IEOR program is open:

  • to students from Grandes Écoles (engineering programs),
  • and to students holding an M1 level (Master’s) from French or foreign universities (Bac+4 / 240 ECTS).

Expected Prerequisites

To succeed in the program, candidates must have a strong foundation in the following areas.

Technical Skills

  • General knowledge in production systems, industrial management, logistics management.
  • Good foundation in Operational Research (optimization, modeling, decision-making).

Valued Experience

  • An internship (or significant project) in the industry / production / logistics field is an asset.

Languages (Recommended Level)

  • English: B2 minimum (the Master of Science in Engineering is taught primarily in English).
  • French: B1 minimum (B2 preferred).

Desired Qualities and Motivations

The jury particularly values:

  • the ability to abstract and model (systems, flows, resources, constraints),
  • an interest in optimization, performance evaluation, and decision support,
  • analytical rigor (reasoning, structuring, verification),
  • a coherent career plan towards roles in production/logistics, consulting, R&D, or doctoral studies.

Which track to choose: GISIS or MAGIF?

Two M2 tracks are offered (optional choice), with a common core of “industrial engineering & OR methods”:

  • GISIS (Healthcare or Industry of the Future): to maintain a strong openness towards healthcare and industry.
  • MAGIF (Industry of the Future): for a career start focused on industry.

A selective, applied research-oriented Master of Science in Engineering

The Master of Science in Engineering is structured to train in advanced industrial engineering methods (organizational modeling, formal performance evaluation, supply chain management, planning/scheduling, maintenance…), with strong exposure to real-world cases from industry and healthcare.

❗️ Applications are open from January to April.
