Biography
Sophie Peillon is graduated from Mines Saint-Etienne and Université Jean Monnet – Saint-Etienne (Ph.D.) and from Université Lyon 2 (Master).
She is an Associate Professor in Economics and Management at Mines Saint-Etienne since 2004. She is currently in charge of the Major in Management and Corporate Finance in the ICM curriculum.
Her research focuses on innovation and dynamic capabilities through product-service systems, servitisation and functional service economy, with a particular focus on manufacturing sector and SMEs. She has published several papers related to these topics in Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, Journal of Service Management, Production Planning & Control, and is a referee for several journals such as International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, Production Planning & Control, Revue Française de Gestion, Revue Internationale PME, …
She regularly participates in funded research projects in collaboration with companies in the manufacturing sector, either SMEs or large firms, and she is involved in several professional and scientific networks (Viameca, Club CLEF, Association Internationale de Management Stratégique, …).
Recently, she has been a visiting professor at McGill University – Desautels Faculty of Management, and Center for Strategy Studies in Organizations, Montréal, Canada.
